Data Collection, Verification, and Report Card

KIPP Foundation, 2013-15

I worked with data managers from 20 KIPP regions managing 162 KIPP schools to collect data on student demographics, student attrition, student achievement, financial aid, and teacher retention. I also executed a process for collecting each school's state test scores (the first year, I collected the scores myself; the second year, I managed a team of temps who collected the scores). I cleaned the data and uploaded it into the Foundation's SQL and Salesforce databases. From that data, I generated reports for KIPP's Annual Report Card and then verified their accuracy with each region's data manager and executive director. I also created exhibits demonstrating each region's achievements in state testing, allowing KIPP to win $4 million in grants and prize money from the U.S. Department of Education and the Broad Foundation.
